Artist Arlene Fyffe grew up in Ottawa, Ontario, lived in Toronto for many years and now lives
in Perth. After graduating from Humber College in Advertising and Design, Arlene enjoyed a successful career working for various Toronto advertising companies and as an art director, eventually moving into freelance work. Returning to her early love of drawing, Arlene began to create fun, whimsical illustrations for children and adults with a fanciful glimpse of dream-like landscapes full of strange creatures in amusing circumstances. Arlene’s artwork, mixed media, Indian ink, charcoal, paint, and sketches are inspired by a knowledge, love and appreciation of the natural world. Arlene’s work continues to evolve as a result of her studies with Richard Hutton whose work and dedication as an artist and teacher is a constant inspiration.
